a thousand years - christina perri (instrumental)
The Setting
the story takes place around 2002, in a quiet town called Milne's Grove, famous for it's narrow cobblestone roads and foliage in the autumn. the downtown of the village is a colourful, gentle place, with street shops and outdoor cafes year round. the outer edges are a bit rougher, though its where most of Milne's Grove's citizens are settled.
teddy and t.v. live in an near-abandoned apartment building, "The Daisy", owned by their landlord and neighbor, delilah. their apartment, apartment 43 1/2, is large, filled to the brim, and completely discombobulated. nothing is in its proper place, so nothing is properly used.
although the town itself is so ordinary it borderlines boring, Milne's Grove seems stuffed with weirdos... people with T.V.'s and fish bowls stuck on their heads, shirtless guys who swing microphones, gangs of lady bikers, very old and very young cops, and a single celebrity everyone likes talking about.
that said, the only real attractions in town are the previously stated celebrity, the ice cream stand, the electronics story, and the hundreds of brightly coloured tarps that shade the good townspeople's windows and doorsteps.

The Characters
this story is centered around the lives of Teddy and T.V. and a bunch of other idiots
- Teddy & T.V.: Teddy and T.V. took a shining to each other the moment they met. They developed a relationship without proper communication first, became the best of friends, and slowly fell in love. When the monitor came off of T.V.'s head and they could finally speak to each other, they realized the feelings were mutual. They don't label it a proper romantic relationship, because they don't know how... and they seem more comfortable with it this way, anyway. Both are surprisingly possessive and protective of their other half.
- T.V. & Delilah: Delilah fell in love with T.V.'s muscular build and handsome face. Delilah played at them being married, calling Teddy their son. She covered the fact that it would never work with denial. After a year of telling herself she was heartbroken, she took the roll of a mother instead, scolding Teddy and T.V. for being messy and uncouth young men. It seems that an earnest young biker has recently taken an interest in her, but has been seen to the door upon every visit.
The Plot
Teddy meets T.V., the television-headed mascot of a tiny electronics store, when shopping one day. Through a twist of fate and a lot of money, Teddy took T.V. home to his tiny apartment, where the two started a life together. For years, they had adventures, scientific experiments, mornings filled with cartoons and cereal, evenings filled with soap operas and popcorn, and a slow, silent realization that they were soul mates.
One night, Teddy and T.V. were finally able to get the television monitor off of T.V.'s head, revealing a real speaking, hearing, seeing human being. Another year provided T.V. the chance to become healthy again, eating and working out, as well as taking up odd jobs and talking endlessly to Teddy. After realizing they had both fallen in love, the two continued their life as usual; with adventures and experiments and friends and mostly adventures and sometimes love.
